Helmed by Chef lawrence acosta, Ámbar Restaurante’s menu unfolds as a culinary narrative that mixes modern presentations with centuries-old-ingredients rooted in Mexican heritage. 

Patrons are first welcomed at The Bar at Ámbar Restaurante, where a two-story amber wall warmly illuminates intimate seating and a deep wine list of old and new world wines that emphasizes the emerging white wine makers of Mexico. Artisanal mezcal and tequila tasting experiences have been curated to awaken your curiosity with every sip. An extensive draft program features proprietary beers created to complement the bright, fire-kissed cuisine.  Beyond the luminous wall, a hidden staircase ushers guests to a private dining room which is available for more intimate affairs.

The space unfolds to an open-kitchen where coals glow and flames dance on open wood grills. Shareable meals including heirloom corn masa, handmade tortillas, whole animal asado, and fresh ceviches express the culmination of cultures, traditions, and progress. 

 Ámbar Restaurante is conveniently located on the lobby level of The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park. On the mezzanine level, the restored ballroom and three event spaces are well suited for weddings, bridal parties, birthdays and showers with catering by Ámbar.
